LGBT Mormon Groups and Stories

AffirmationAffirmation supports LGBTQ/SSA Mormons and their families, friends and Church leaders in seeking to live healthy and productive lives consistent with their faith or heritage.

North Star is a faith-affirming resource for Latter-day Saints addressing sexual orientation and gender identity, and who desire to live in harmony with the teachings of Jesus Christ and the doctrines and values of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Mormons Building Bridges

In accordance with the Gospel of Jesus Christ, Mormons Building Bridges is primarily a community of faithful Latter-day Saints who are dedicated to conveying love and acceptance to all those who identify as LGBTQI and those who experience same-sex attraction or gender dysphoria.

Voices of Hope

As an extension of the book, Voices of Hope: Latter-day Saint Perspectives on Same-Gender Attraction, this site is a growing repository of video and written essays by Latter-day Saints who experience same-sex attraction who desire to more openly share their journeys of faith and hope.

The purpose of this site is simple — to better understand what it means to be homosexual and Mormon. Please know that this site is neither “anti-Mormon” nor “anti-homosexual”. It’s just a place to listen and consider, for a moment, what it’s like to be someone else.

These videos were created for Latter-day Saint parents and allies to voice their love for their LGBT brothers and sisters, sons and daughters. They want to give a message of comfort and support to other parents who are navigating the difficult conflicts that can arise in families around this issue.

The goal of the Gay Mormon Stories podcast is to create a space where LGBTQ or SSA individuals and their families and allies can acknowledge, explore and honor shared experiences.

MOHO Directory

The MoHo directory is an ever-expanding database of LGBTQ+/SSA blogs on a centralized website of which BYU USGA is a part of. It is not in any way affiliated with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints but is comprised of Mormons in all stages of faith.

Voices of Love aspires to create a space for those with Mormon roots to tell their happy endings, and believes stories of God’s children who find love in harmony with their sexual orientation is necessary to fully represent the happiness gay youth from Mormon heritages can find someday.

The Journeys of Faith Project is a growing repository of personal essays by Latter-day Saint individuals and families wrestling with issues related to gender identity (e.g., gender dysphoria and/or transgenderism) who are striving to find congruence and peace within the context of faith in the gospel of Jesus Christ.

OUT IN ZION attempts to deepen and enrich the conversation intersecting membership in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and being lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender. The podcast features weekly discussions, interviews, and stories exploring current events and perennial topics, from varied perspectives.
