Weekly Activity: Meditation for Beginners

For our last meeting, Thursday, October 8th, the Faith Committee hosted our very own meditation and yoga night with instructor Taylor Szemerey. Members had the pleasure of going through some guided meditations and simple yoga poses to learn some basic methods on de-stressing and gathering inner peace. We got to learn how to step out of our stressful lives by increasing our mindfulness and spirituality. If you were there, we hope you had fun and if you weren’t, then we hope to see you either tomorrow for our FabHE event (we will be watching Hocus Pocus and making popcorn balls) or this Thursday for our next meeting, “You Are Not Alone,” where we will learn about empathy and thinking outside ourselves.
