September 11 Breakout Session: Navigating Healthy Relationships

At USGA’s meeting on September 11th, attendees broke into five groups to discuss the dynamics of healthy relationships. We covered topics like boundary maintenance, toxicity, abuse, and disagreement in our relationships with family, friends, and romantic partners.

Many members of USGA experience tension with family members as a result of fundamental disagreement, which is often difficult to navigate because familial relationships are not a matter of choice. Attendees reported healthier friendships in general because they could choose with whom to engage, and how often.
